N.B Please forgive me whilst I get this blog up and running... I'll be eventually updating all sections and blogging regularly but for now it's a work in progress from a blogosphere newbie

I'm a British freelance journalist and author now based in Mexico City. I have written for The Guardian, The Telegraph, The Sunday Times, Conde Nast Traveller UK, GQ, Glamour, The New Statesman, The Spectator, Civil Eats, VICE.COM, Decanter Magazine, The Huffington Post and YOU Magazine.

I now primarily write about food, wine and travel with a strong focus on small producers, sustainability, landrace corn varietals, farm-to-table and the Slowfood movement. Last year, I was lucky enough to visit all 32 states in Mexico as project director of a new coffee table book on Mexican food, Mexico: Encuentros Culinarios (MEX) / Mexico: A Culinary Quest (UK), recently published by TransGlobe/Thames and Hudson.

I'm a natural wine nerd but also love mezcal, pulque and beer. When I'm not writing, drinking or eating, I'm usually cooking, or hunting down Mexico's very best ingredients. And when I'm not writing, drinking, eating or cooking, I can usually be found weightlifting to enable me to eat and drink more.
